Encourage Shield Round 2 at Toukley Golf Club

Posted on: 28 May

Round 2 of Encourage Shield, thanks to Toukley Golf Club for hosting today. We played Gosford golf club with the final score resulting in us going down 5/1. Most important though was the fun they all had! Check out the smiles and cartwheels.

The day started on a high when little reserve Piper was given the green light to play after Gosford were short one player “I can play!!!” screamed Piper with excitement.

Piper smashed it off the first tee in front of a big audience.

Alex and Abbey met their goals to square a few holes.

Toby playing number one stretched out his opponent again to late in the back nine again.

Sadly no survival balls were returned safely, due to all the well positioned water hazards and long grasses.

BUT – Amazingly the entire team won pick of the ice – cream fridge on the Par 3 water hole on the 8th. The challenge lead by Jack, Liam and Keenan was to not lose a ball in the pond – so all our clever kids whilst licking their lips hit the ball down the right handside around the bond to win a treat.

After such a successful training session during the week – the kids all agreed that it is easier to play on the Magenta range than the actual course.

All good, all smiles and off to Gosford next week.

Thank you to the amazing Jason Millers for your help and guidance as always. Thank you to our lady captain Julie liddle and Operations Manager Jeremy Farr for the support of the kids today as well as all the parents that were there cheering everyone on. It takes a village to get the kids on the course, motivated and prepared, we have a great one
