District play offs will be held on Club Champion’s Day on Monday 28th October at Everglades Country Club. The winners of the District GNSW medal play off will represent the CCWGA in the State Final @ Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club on the 11th December 2019. Good luck ladies.

Annual Tournament – 2 day event at Magenta 11th Nov & Toukley 12th November

Changes to the CCWGA Annual Tournament – Email from Yvonne Boardman ( Captain CCWGA).

Due to the entries we have received for this years tournament the advertised Division 1 limit has changed.

Division 1 is now 0 to 19 daily handicap (Monday’s G.A. 0 to 16.2) & (Tuesday’s G.A. 0 to 16.8.)

Remembering that the handicap you are on at Magenta on the Monday will determine the division you will be in for the 36 hole event.

This has been done to make the divisions as even as possible. We hope that this doesn’t disappoint anyone as the ladies affected will now be playing Stableford and not Stroke.

Looking Forward to seeing you all in November.

The CCWGA has advised that the winner of this two day district event will represent our district in the Golf NSW Championships in January 2020. Venue & date TBA.

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT FUND

Our goal is to support our juniors. The match committee has created a Charter which outlines the support structure that we envisage would be appropriate. An extract is as follows:

Eligibility – Junior members, or the children/grandchildren of members are eligible to apply for funding for the following activities, subject to available funds:

  • Competition fees and hire of equipment (e.g buggies) and a petty cash allowance of $10 for incidentals, when representing Magenta at an approved junior golf event
  • A contribution of up to $100pa per junior for coaching fees as part of programmes organized by the Central Coast Academy, other official junior golf programmes or training sessions run by Magenta Shores pro shop staff.
  • Club Uniform, for example cap/shirt, for all Magenta Juniors in attendance at official junior golf programmes

Reimbursement: to the responsible parent/guardian, via the General Manager or Golf Operations Manager on presentation of receipts.

Sponsorship

The match committee feel that we will shortly be in need of additional funds and are therefore appealing to any member who would be able to contribute to our Junior Development Fund. Please contact Jeremy in the Pro Shop.
